LinkedIn’s 17,600 sqm. Dublin HQ was the social media giant’s first purpose-built office development outside the US. We were specified with RKD on this prestigious project and worked very closely with the design team to create a bespoke folding wall system that would work for the clients specific requirements internally. They wanted to create a foldable wall system which would allow them to utilise a vast expanse of space effectively for various purposes. The bespoke system was designed to meet a very high spec in terms of both acoustic performance and aesthetics. The folding system surrounded a large open conference area on either side. Our solution was a bespoke, semi-automatic Parthos 110s foldable wall system comprised acoustically tested (57dB) glazed and solid panels, and integrated doors, allowing LinkedIn to utilise this space to suit their needs on different occasions. As part of an extensive design process we created sample panels for the design team. Perforated panels were used as part of the system to absorb sound and to provide sound insulation. As part of this sizeable project we also provided a range of high performance acoustic steel doors in the lobby areas with glazed panels to facilitate light transmission and vision; thermally-efficient doors to prevent heat loss and flush steel fire-resistant doors for the buildings’ escape doors, the basement area and on the roof.
