KPMG Offices

This project was designed by award winning architects Henry J Lyons. They designed a state-of-the-art building thoughtfully to fit into the existing South Mall streetscape in Cork. KPMG relocated its 170-strong team to this stunning 30,000 square foot, modern office space which would comfortably accommodate a team of 300 as the companys growth continues. We worked closely with the design team to provide a bespoke L-shaped minimalist steel fire-rated screen and door system to encapsulate a stairwell and protect building occupants in the event of a fire emergency whilst allowing light to flow through the space. The building was close to completion when this minimalist screen was conceived which presented some challenges for installation. We had to construct the large heavy fire-rated screen in sections to allow delivery, access and installation on site. The screen and door system offer both integrity and insulation (60/60) – the specification also included all integrated hardware and electronic locking on the doorset to meet the same performance and fire-rating requirements as the door system.
