Project Overview

We worked closely with Architects Aughey O’Flaherty on this urban residential property located at the end of a road of fine Victorian red brick houses in Dublin. The architects sought to maximise the use of natural light whilst remaining sympathetic to the surrounding area and building style. We used the frameless sliding window and door system from Sky-Frame to create a 7.3 metre wide, 2.5 metre high triple glazed system at the back of the property to overlook the gardens. As this facilitated a huge amount of natural light to flood into the house, we also provided an internal super-slim steel-profiled glazed door using the MHB SL30 system between the kitchen/dining and hall areas, allowing light to flow further into the home. To blend in with the overall design intent and desired aesthetics we also created a stunningly simple, thermally broken, solid black entrance door for the property.
