End-to-end solutions for Data Centre projects

Helping you design safe, stable and secure data centre facilities

We offer project specific support to clients working on data centre projects. With extensive experience working on projects of this nature, our team are on hand to advise and support from initial design and specification stage straight through to on-site installation and ongoing maintenance.

Complete data centre solutions

The most commonly specified products from KCCs portfolio for Datacentres come from our door solutions, primarily high security steel doorsets and high performance timber doorsets, and architectural hardware, which can be integrated into these specialist doors and for all other areas of the datacentres and adjoining fulfilment or logistical centres.

Security doors / Steel doors for data centres

Steel doors play an important role in data centres, fulfilling a range of important functions including security, fire resistance, acoustic performance and insulation. We also provide steel door solutions to meet more demanding performance criteria such as blast resistance or intruder resistance, as per our clients specific needs. Specialist steel doorsets provide a reliable, long-lasting solution for both internal and external use and are available with or without fire-rating, allowing you to combine form and function with options to suit all budget, aesthetic and performance requirements.

High performance timber doorsets for data centres

Our high performance timber doors provide a range of performance capabilities to meet demands such as fire resistance, acoustic performance, radiation shielding, anti-microbial protection, door and user protection, privacy, strength and durability. Our timber doorsets are manufactured to our clients exact specifications at our manufacturing facility in Antrim, Northern Ireland, meeting the highest fire door standards with full CE marking and compliant with EN Standards for fire. Our timber doors are also available with integrated hardware, locking systems, automation or vision panels and are most commonly specified in the administration blocks and logistic buildings for datacentre projects.

Architectural Hardware for data centres

We offer a comprehensive ironmongery specification and scheduling support service to our clients, backed up by all appropriate certification, warranty information and fire test evidence. All of our doorsets can be supplied with integrated door hardware, electronic locking or access control as required. For the exterior envelope of the building our emergency exit doors and associated panic hardware solutions can be integrated into the building management system to ensure the smooth and safe egress of building occupants in the event of a fire emergency.

Glazed screens & doors for data centres

The use of glazed screens and doors facilitates a combination of both form and function in appropriate environments, offering an aesthetically pleasing solution whilst never compromising on performance. Our glazed fire screens and doors are available with integrity-only (E) or integrity and insulation (EI) fire protection ratings, depending on your specific requirements. Our team will liaise with you to ensure all systems specified are compliant and suited to the buildings fire strategy.

Concealed riser doors

An aesthetically-pleasing way to conceal ugly service cupboards, the concealed frame riser door systems we use allow for a flush finish with only a minimal shadow gap.

Fire & smoke curtains

In the event of a fire emergency, fire protection curtains close wall and ceiling openings to slow the spread of fire. Their construction (ie. roll-down or folding technique) and the use of different fabrics facilitate a wide range of applications as well as offering different protection goals, classifications and time classes. The casing and guide rails of the highly flexible systems blend almost invisibly into the building and allow plenty of scope for sophisticated architecture and open room concepts when not in use.

When closed, smoke protection curtains limit the passage of smoke during the phase of fire formation, to buy valuable time to rescue people and animals from the room behind the curtain and to recover material assets without the need for respiratory equipment in the event of a fire.
