Project Overview
Trinity College Dublin Business School is a state-of-the-art development located in the heart of Dublin’s city centre. The building supports the activities of the Trinity School of Business and the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship providing a 12,000 sqm education facility alongside eight refurbished protected structures, providing student apartments. We were subcontracted by Lynco Facades to provide swing door automation for the main entrance and emergency exit doors of the business school to allow controlled entry and efficient and effective evacuation in the event of a fire or emergency. The building has been designed to ensure it will operate on low energy and low maintenance principles throughout its lifespan so we elected to use DormaKaba ED250 operators to provide energy-efficient swing door automation.

Dublin Leisure Centre
Based on the needs of the facility we elected to use our Quantum speed gate which is the fastest open and close speed gate on the market capable of facilitating up to 55 persons passing per minute. This makes it the ideal solution for sites with high visitor flow rate.
Kinsale Community Hospital
For this healthcare project, Todd Architects designed an extension to an existing facility, Kinsale Community Hospital, to include internal alteration and refurbishment works, as part of the HSE Cork Community Hospital Bundle. The project was designed to provide a ‘Step Down’ facility to move patients from the main hospital into a community facility closer to home to continue their care.
Concealed door & ironmongery solution for refurbished historical building
The €3.7million project involved the refurbishment of the historical James O’Neill building in Church Square, originally an Old Mill, which dates back to the late 19th Century. The library has been carefully and beautifully designed to sit inside the original shell of the Old Mill building, creating a modern, bright space whilst still maintaining the original charm of the Stone building.
