Project Overview

KCC Group delivered specialist joinery and partitioning solutions as part of the new Mercy Convent Primary School campus in Naas. The €12.5 million development provides a modern, purpose-built educational environment, combining high-performance materials with flexible design to support both daily teaching and community use.

The project places a strong emphasis on quality, durability, and flexibility, creating an environment capable of supporting the evolving needs of a modern primary school. Through the integration of high-performance materials, adaptable spaces, and carefully considered architectural design, the campus provides a safe and engaging setting for learning, teaching, and community use.

KCC Group’s specialist joinery and partitioning solutions formed an important part of this vision, helping to create spaces that are both functional and visually cohesive throughout the building.

Project Requirements

The project required a combination of durability, safety, and flexibility within a high-traffic school environment.

  • The Junior and Senior General Purpose Halls needed to function independently or combine into one large space, requiring a robust folding wall system capable of supporting a 5.6-tonne partition load.
  • Timber doors and glazed screens had to meet strict fire, acoustic, and accessibility requirements, while maintaining a consistent architectural finish throughout the building.
  • Installation needed to be carefully managed within a live school environment, alongside sensitive heritage considerations including the retained 1900 protected structure.

Project Solution

KCC Group provided a fully integrated joinery and partitioning package, ensuring performance, compliance, and visual consistency across the project.
