Moxy Hotel

3-wing revolving door for boutique hotel

  • Sector Hospitality
  • Location: Dublin, Ireland
  • Architect: MCA (Michael Collins Architects)
  • Contractor: Conack Construction

Project Overview

The Moxy Hotel, part of the Marriott Group, is located behind the former Clery’s department store. The project involves the refurbishment of an original 1970’s 4-storey office block to create a new boutique hotel. When complete it is expected to have 158 rooms, over a ground floor reception, bar and restaurant and an adjacent separate retail/restaurant/cafe unit. The design intent is both contemporary and appropriate, neatly set back into the streetscape with a discreet central city location. We worked with our clients to supply and install a fully automatic 3-wing revolving door to meet Moxy (Marriott chain) requirements for their entrance lobby. The Tormax 3-wing automatic revolving door solution was chosen due to its heat loss efficiency and aesthetically pleasing. contemporary look. We also provided a full door hardware and ironmongery package to tie in with the overall design and aesthetics of the project.
