Specialist clinical solution for CUH

We were subcontracted by the contractor and design team on this project to deliver a specialist clinical solution on this new addition to the existing CUH campus to provide specialist radiology oncology services. We supplied and installed specialist performance doors to the operating, anaesthetic and cleanroom facilities of this new purpose-built centre for radiology and oncology treatments. We liaised with the design team including the M&E consultants to provide a system that would seamlessly integrate with the access control systems and machine safety systems in all areas. We provided an integrated privacy line with electic blinds built into completely flush vision panels. A challenging aspect of this project was the extremely large openings into the radiotherapy suites or operating theatres and aesthetic rooms and creating a suitable cleanroom door system to work at these dimension. These areas are critical for performance and have to be as clean as possible with controlled air flow for maximum hygiene control – We successfully overcame this challenge through the use of Portalp DIVA-L clean operators combined with Portalps HDS Clean clinical doorsets with integrated touch free sensor automated access for maximum hygiene control in the interlinking anaesthetic / scrub / dirty utility /operating theatre areas for ease of movement throughout.
