Project Overview

This project combines the appeal of a historic home with a contemporary extension, new amenities and garden. We worked closely with the Architect to create an informal, family kitchen, dining and living area enhanced by a vast expanse of glass allowing maximum light to travel in through the space. We used Sky-Frame 2, a double-glazed frameless sliding window system to create a ‘wall’ of glass with minimal sight-lines, measuring 13 metres in width and 2.65 metres in height with 4 sliding panels creating a smooth transition between the interior living space and the garden courtyard area. The original home is one of the most important period properties in East Belfast and this extension onto the existing house was part of a full renovation of the property to create a family living space and guest accommodation.
