Ironmongery and Master Key Solution for state of the art school development in Cork

We worked closely with main contractors BAM to develop a compliant, durable ironmongery solution for this large national school development in Cork. The Douglas Rochestown Educate Together National School at Carrs Hill stands at 4,635m2 over 3 storeys and was one of four schools delivered by BAM for the Cork Area. The school provides 24 large classrooms, sports halls, offices, individual learning rooms and a specialist unit fully equipped for children with special educational needs. We provided all ironmongery for the project including levers, pull handles, hinges, door closers, kick plates, push plates and full length finger guards and a full master keying solution as part of the buildings access control strategy. Within the specialist areas we provided a double lever solution for security and safety on a number of doors, meaning that these doors are fitted with a lever at normal height and another at approximately head height which must be opened simultaneously to operate the door, ensuring that only authorised adults can open the doors.
